March 2026 - Article with Voyage Dallas
As my walk with God deepened, I began to understand that growth is not just creative, but spiritual. There came a moment where I felt called to step into a new identity, one that reflected not just who I was, but who I was becoming. Earlier last year I lost my Aunt whom I was very close with, and when returning back home I heard the Holy Spirit ask me to let Him in. Attached to my secular identity, I ignored. Months eventually passed as I was on a flight home from a work trip one week and God woke me up 3 times on that flight as I heard the words “No more my son, only clean from here on out”. It was then I knew I could not deny the Spirit any longer. From that point on I decided to truly get my life together and use my voice for a higher calling.
To me, The B represents the power of being who God created me to be. Being bold in purpose. Being willing to grow, transform, and walk in faith even when the path isn’t always clear. The name is a reminder that life is a continual process of becoming, and that our identity is shaped not only by talent, but by calling. I like to think of myself as a vessel for The Big 3 (The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit). Not to mention I believe in being authentic as possible within my walk with Christ.
My music reflects that journey. Every song I create carries pieces of my testimony that highlight moments of faith, struggle, perseverance, and revelation. I believe music has the power to reach people in places that words alone cannot, and my goal is to create records that not only move people emotionally, but also inspire them spiritually. I like to also think my calling to music happens to be a form of ministry. One that can help influence a generation of other creatives/musical artists that want to make a difference.
