Pride Month: Color as Creativity (Social Media Design)

This Pride Month social media design was art directed around the belief that color is more than symbolism—it is a language of creativity. While the rainbow is widely associated with LGBTQ+ identity, this piece reframes color as a universal expression of individuality, imagination, and creative freedom, aligning Pride with the very essence of artistic expression. From an art direction standpoint, the campaign intentionally leaned into bold, unapologetic color usage to mirror the confidence and visibility Pride represents. Each color was selected not just for its place in the spectrum, but for the emotional and creative energy it contributes to the overall narrative—allowing the design to speak without relying on heavy copy.

Together, the palette functions as a visual ecosystem, where no single color dominates—mirroring the idea that creativity, like identity, exists on a spectrum. The art direction ensured balance, contrast, and harmony, allowing each color to stand confidently while focusing on the main subject of each model and their quotes.

Designed for social platforms, the work was optimized for immediacy and share-ability, using color as the primary storytelling device. The result is a Pride Month piece that honors inclusivity while positioning creativity as the common thread—celebrating expression in all its forms.
